4/5 months is when we started
6 months mine took to one
Ours started having true interest in toys around 4 months. Obviously we don't give it while sleeping yet, nothing in his crib to sleep until at least 1 year. I can't say he's formed any true attachment to a particular toy yet (5 months old).
same as @MK
When she was 2 and wouldn’t be parted from it , so I tried to find a spare and struggled / paid way more than I would of liked for a second hand one off Vinted
Also same as @MK my boy is 5mo now and loves his toys/rattles etc now that he can reach for them intentionally but before 4.5 months he had no interest
my boys 4 almost 5 months and i’ve noticed that he loves his muslin, if he’s crying i give him it he puts it up to his face and calms down he also loves playing peekaboo with it. i’m on the hunt to find a sort of muslin comforter toy
My 7mo has been holding his burp cloths for emotional support for 2-3 months
14 months x
Mine has one that we take out with us but he doesn't have it in his cot yet. He's 9 months
my baby is almost 5 months in a week and just now started grabbing for toys on his own! it’ll happen soon, at babies own pace! don’t worry!
@taya just came to say if you have a Tesco near you they have comforter style toys but as a Muslin. So a Muslin with a little teddy attached, we have a lion and a monkey one from Tesco and our little 6mth old boy LOVES them
@Becky thank you i’ll keep an eye out ! i was planning to go to tesco today for a few bits x
My parents went on a trip when my baby was 2.5 months old and brought back a stuffy for him. He doesn’t cuddle with it necessarily but by 3/3.5 months he would pick it up and kinda fiddle with it! Now it comes with us in his car seat wherever we go

Mine started showing interes around 6/7 months
7mo he's 14 now sleeps with a stuffy and a mini blanket. His stuffy (rubbing it's ears) is how he soothed himself to sleep
Mine is 2.5 and never has taken to one
I think true interest happened for my son around 14 months. He LOVES his Slumberkins Snugglers. I love telling people about them lol. https://slumberkins.com/products/honey-bear-snuggler-single?variant=32464443801738&country=US¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&campaignid=21211182926&adgroupid=159205933577&network=g&device=m&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21211182926&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwLO_BhB2EiwAx2e-3yQU3dPrcf07d1BAzhZKE_NFoy6EeauOOzWLiKPeJGmF_8W1LBEIKhoClyAQAvD_BwE
I have a vtech polar bear that lights up and my son has practically grown up with it. Won't go to sleep without it. At one point it sent me to sleep before the baby 😂
My son is 15 months and has never had any interest in toys or blankets for comfort etc! Think it just depends on the baby and temperament etc
My baby is 10 months and still has no interest in a teddy or a cwtchy! I try and give him one every night and nap time but he just pushes them away xx
@taya yay so happy for your little one!! 🤗
Following ! I watched a “day in my life as a baby” tik tok earlier where a 1 month old grabbed onto one and the voice over was like “now dad is giving me my lovey and I’ll hold onto this the rest of the day,” but I’m not sure if that’s just grab reflex or actual interest lol
