I might I'm not sure if that's what they are listed as but it's there business and I think it's a Ltd company
Baby’s gp? Pharmacist? I know I’ve signed some off before.
@Amber I would check. As Directors of a Ltd company are accepted professions. You can search their name on Companies House to check https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk
@Jovan according to online they have to know me and dad personally and , doctors arnt allowed 🙄

Only other thing I can think of is ask your gp to sign for you some charge you for it too even though sometimes this also doesn’t work, as it happened to my friend she had gp sign it and it still got rejected and she has been with them long enough
Did your boss happen to say their relation to you is their dentist by any chance?
Did you and the witness sign the same date? It may have been rejected because the day they signed it and you are different?

Do you know any friends that are nurses? I’ve signed my friends and colleagues ones before and I’ve made my friend who I’ve trained with sign my sons passport x
@Tanya thought I did but turns out he isn't a registered nurse said he's HCSW whatever that is lol but doesn't have a pin, I've asked someone i know now who's a chiropodist so fingers crossed they say yes and hopefully is accepted x
They get send an email with questions to complete they may have filled it out incorrectly? I had this but I lt was because I wrote the wrong date of birth by accident I just sent a letter with my documents stating the mistakes!

@Millie I wouldn't mind so much if they said what was wrong but don't have a clue , he has done plenty of passports before so I'd imagine he's done it correctly, just annoying not knowing what's wrong so I can fix it x
@Amber have you tried ringing rhe passport office? They can’t help with to much but they may be able to tell you why it was denied? I got through pretty quick!
@Millie tried they said its down to the discretion of the person signing off the passport , ridiculous
@Amber oh that’s so annoying! It’s annoying aswell because they take the payment before you know it’s complete!
@Amber This happened to us with someone who has a named profession on the list. Again, no context to the rejection, so we phoned and it subsequently got sent for manual review and then it was suddenly approved!
@Lucy ooooh what's this manual review and how do I go about it ? I have since found someone else to do it but should that get rejected also would be good to know x
@Amber that would be the issue then, the person has to know you personally, as in, they have to be a friend. If you ask a Dr. It has to be a friend that happens to be a dr, not your actual dr, same with nurses and dentist. If they put on there the relation is patient/dr or similar it will get rejected. You should have asked him to put you were friends and it would have gone through

@Amber I was told it couldn’t be my own boss/manager etc. it had to be a personal friend that was in those roles. The only people I knew that met those profession lists were family members or not my friends (as I don’t have any). I spoke to the advice line so many times and had it reconsidered 2 or 3 times by the person that signs it off and everything was unacceptable until I got someone to say they were a friend that have known me for 2 years! I literally got it approved and sent to me the very next day! Was crazy!
Do you know any directors of a Limited Company? Literally anyone with their name as a Director on Companies House (obviously someone you know personally)
