Medication refusal

Anyone else’s kid refuse liquid medication (Tylenol/Motrin)? My son spits it back out 🙄 I am hoping ya’ll have some tricks for me 🤞🏼

I just mix it with juice and she drinks it right up. Also just do a couple ounces so that way she’ll drink it all.

We also have that Frida baby pacifier that administers medicine and it works great for my daughter!

My son drinks medicine when he’s sick. No fuss. But he doesn’t like taking vitamins everyday haha We lay him on his back and place the liquid on the same of his cheek until he swallows. You put little by little…Repeat u til done. He cries but he’s fine. It has to happen

i put the syringe towards the cheek for my baby so she could take it cause she’ll do the same thing

@Casey he is onto us with the Frida baby medicine paci. Once he sees it he will start crying 🫠

@Lizeth we have tried this and he will immediately go off the rails when we try to hold him down. Any little bit I get into his mouth he spits right out 😵‍💫

@Shay yea. You gotta just hold them by his chin/moth area and hold their hands down until he swallows. The repetitiveness every time you do it will teach him that he is done when he swallows the medicine. It just has to happen friend

@Shay extremely rude of him because the children's Motrin tastes good 🥴

Did a little google and found this great video that might help us all 💕 https://youtu.be/QgYd3N4lm6c?si=mp2rrmzwiV5OXLEt

@Casey seriously kids have BERRY flavored now. They don’t know how bad the grape and cherry flavors of our youth!
