Advice.

I done an interview for a job and it’s advertised as flexi working. I made sure I picked a job with a salary that made sense due to universal credit. As I usually work in compliance the salary is way too high for me to get any help as a single parent. Just waiting to get the job offer if I do as it’s flexi working is it reasonable to ask for part time or half remote and half in office due to being a single mother? I’m just worried but I think they can’t go against what they advertise which is flexi working or is there another meaning for flexi working ?

I think it depends on the job . You can ask for compressed hours . Working longer days due to childcare . Ask if there is a possibility to wfh

@Jay will try this out, do you think flexi working means different in every single work place?x

I’ve always understood flexi working as you can start earlier to finish earlier or do later if preferred. Since Covid and with more people working from home etc I’d say it’s probably a different meaning now! You can only ask, they legally can’t discriminate but if they want you then they’ll be willing to negotiate hours that work for you I’m sure ☺️

@Emma thanks girly I’m going to try ask for part time as it’s honestly stressful as a single parent x
