I have the same struggle, it's got a bit better recently though, but when it was bad I just gave him a sandwich instead after a while so he atleast ate something before bed, he seems to eat more if I'm eating the same thing and take a bite of his and then he will eat it and also Ive been holding some of his food in my hand and he goes to grab it and automatically tastes it and continues to eat his dinner if he likes it
@Georgina it's tricky isn't it! She won't eat bread at all so lunch is always 'picky plates' so i'm stuck with cereal before bed if anything🫠 I do eat with her most days and if I go to touch her food i get a sassy 'no mummy, that's mine!' Yet she won't eat it🙈😅 the struggle is real
It definitely is, it takes alot of trial and error to find what will work
If my son refuses his dinner completely I’ll see if he wants some of mine or offer him toast as I know he will definitely eat the toast. Lunch times are really hard as he doesn’t like sandwiches wraps or anything like that he likes to snack a lot tho most dinners he does really well with but he still wants to snack after dinner too
Our nursery offer meals and alternatives (so sandwich etc if they don't eat the meal). I find that picky dinners are best after nursery or something like pasta and pesto.
