Slow growth

My baby dropped in weight went for a scan at 37 weeks and they induced me at 38 x

@Beth Hiya thanks for the reply if you don't mind me asking did u have a scan before one at 37 weeks and then one at 37 or just the 37 week one ?? If you had one before 37 has they dropped more once u got to 37??? Hope that makes some sense my brain is like soup tonight 😅

I was having regular growth scans as she was weighing a bit small and then at 37 weeks went for a scan and she had dropped a little bit and wanted to wait till 38 weeks so they induced me the day I turned 38 weeks x

@Beth I've been having regular growth scans since 28 weeks and this was her first drop before this shed followed a line perfectly I guess I'll find out tomorrow if she's dropped more! I'm just so ready to be done!

Please push for what you want to happen, and take somebody with you as an advocate to support you in being heard! As the mother you should have choices. I have been having growth scans for a bigger baby (my first they missed was huge and came out 9lb 5oz with complications), this time I kept saying she was big despite the growth scans saying average and not being heard, and finally last week she measured 7lb 6oz at scan and completed next day 2nd diabetes test showed I’m diabetic, so they have my induction booked for 39 weeks x

@Rachel I'm at the point now of beyond fed up I've been at the hospital 9 out of the last 14 days with 2 over night stays and keep getting sent home with the response of we aren't going to do anything to stop the labour progressing but we also aren't going to do anything to speed it up ... I'm now 37 weeks which is term so when I go in tomorrow I'm going to see a doctor wether they plan that or not because I can't continue like this I'm beyond exhausted and at the rate I'm going I literally won't be able to push this baby out as won't have the energy left in me 😞

Good luck, stay strong! I don’t know if it varies per area, I was told they can do sweeps from 38 weeks, and obviously induction anytime, and as your physical and mental health is being affected that needs to be taken into account x

Hey lovely I’m going through the same thing right now. I had a growth scan at 32 weeks measuring at 44th percentile then at 35 weeks little man had dropped to 14th percentile. They booked me in at 36 weeks to see how things are looking and not much had changed so they booked me in for an induction at 37+3 and a scan at 37 weeks (Monday just been) to make sure he hadn’t shot up in growth or dropped drastically. At my 37 week scan he dropped again to the 12th percentile so officially getting induced today at 3pm 😅. 37+3 and honestly I’m kinda glad cause I’m fed up of being pregnant and better to get little man out so he can start growing on the outside!!!

I hope you get the answers and don’t be afraid to push for what you want! I think they might suggest an induction for you anyway but if not you have every right with the information you’ve had to be induced early ❤️ I’d love to know how you get on if you wanna private message me

I’m currently 38+5 and had a growth scan on Tuesday following a trip to triage Monday night with reduced movement. Soon as I got to the hospital on Monday baby boy started kicking like crazy, and confirmed all was well but they still wanted me to have a scan as it was my 2nd visit to triage. The midwife who did my scan seemed happy with everything and it was a relief to see all was well with baby, but then the doctor followed up after and said he’s dropped from the 50th percentile down to 19th. He’s weighing at 6.7 currently. I was offered an induction but have refused as I would rather go natural. I have an appointment with my own community midwife this afternoon so gonna speak to her and see what she thinks. Just remember it’s all personal preference how you want your labour/delivery to go and don’t be afraid to push for what YOU want ❤️
