SAHM to childcare work?

I’m in a position now where I will have to look for work. I would like to keep my baby near, and she is also still breastfed, hardly weaning. I’ve heard of people doing this and I’m considering it. whether working at a daycare, or nannying for a family while bringing her along. has anyone ever done this? how did it go? I mostly wonder what it would be like to care for multiple children, along with my baby. do you think a daycare center is likely to be strict about me caring for my own child (who is extremely clingy and will need me in the middle of working, probably a lot in the beginning)?

I’ve been considering an at home daycare or preschool. Partner with the government so they can refer you the individuals with Child Care vouchers. I’ll be ordering a few informational packets this weekend

I work full time in the same nursery as my baby. In the beginning I was allowed to breastfeed when needed Now after a year, he is so happy there I get to see him often and get constant updates from my colleagues. We are not in the same classroom obviously But if needed I’m there, if he is poorly etc

It would depend on the daycare honestly. The one I worked at didn’t let parents in the room with their kids and occasionally wouldn’t let a parent on the same side of the building (we had half walls between all classes). When I got pregnant I told them I was planning to breastfeed and they said they could work my work schedule around my feeding schedule. It’d be something to ask about in an interview
