Sitting?

My baby boy turns 7 months tomorrow and is still only sitting up with assistance. I can tell he is close but is there anything I should be doing to help him get there? Is he too late?

I think between 6-9 months is the normal timeline for sitting. I wouldn’t worry about it too much and enjoy my time with my child. ❤️ Especially if he can sit with assistance and is close I would definitely not worry! All children are on their own timelines.

Mine turns 7 months on the 10th and isn’t sitting up unassisted either. We had a physical therapist tell us she thinks her torso is too long for her arms to reach the ground. Who knows. I’m not worrying about it yet

My daughter is also trying to sit up. What I do is I put her in a Landry basket and put some of her toys in there with her and she does pretty good

My son is 6 1/2 months only sitting assisted as well. I’m just letting him go at his pace ❤️

6month and she does the same

Same here! I think it’s very normal :)

I don’t think he’s late at all. But for sitting I put my daughter between my legs and support her back to help her get use to it. She wasn’t able to sit by herself w something around to support because she’d just get excited and fall over so I found me supporting her helpful. Then I use to guide her hand to learn how to tripod sit and eventually she was able to hold herself up on her own. But I wouldn’t be too concerned about it because all babies are different
