Yes, it's normal. Many children do that. Mine, for example, likes to do his poos standing up, hahaha, no sitting or hidden. I, for example, started sitting him in his potty every time I changed him. Sometimes, he wees, and so far, one poo. I'm just trying to get him familiarised with it before we start more seriously when the warm weather arrives.
It’s normal and not a sign of readiness to potty train. Just means the child is gaining that awareness that it’s something you do in private. My little boy hides too and if I accidentally look at him he shouts at me🤣 the toilet training readiness signs are staying dry after a nap, being aware they have had a poo/wee by telling you and becoming interested in the potty/toilet x
My son does this too! We actually have started to gently introduce a potty for his poos now as I can quite easily see when he needs to. We aren’t putting any pressure on him but he does get quite distressed at nappy changes so is much happier using the potty when he can x
I think it would be a good time to start: https://eric.org.uk/potty-training/
Yes my LG has been doing the same and I started potty training her it was Going well until she started nursery and all my work went out in to the window …
My little one has done this for awhile, however she’s no way near telling me about wee’s and looks very confused if she wee without a nappy on (usually if I’m not quick enough to put her nappy back on). She doesn’t tell me if she’s been etc I can just tell that she’s having a poo because she’s hiding. We’ve started to say ‘you’ve had a poo let’s go get a nappy’ to help awareness but in my opinion she’s far from ready yet and our plan is maybe try see how she gets on in summer with less clothes etc x
