Do you use gloves to change your baby's diaper?

So I was talking to my mother-in-law, and she asked me why I don't use gloves to change my son's diaper, do people actually do that?

In centers they do but not for my own child

i personally don’t use gloves with my child but i worked at a daycare and we used gloves alllllll the time or else you would be washing your hands way to much and diaper cream would get under your nails which is gross,, i got gifted gloves at my sons shower and used them till they were gone just for diaper cream but washing your hands like you do after you go to the bathroom should just be enough

My fiancé likes using gloves for diaper cream since it’s an easy clean up

i did when i worked at a daycare (it was required) and i thought id also be grossed out by the poop & wear gloves to change my baby’s diapers but i didn’t and just wash my hands directly after lol it’s different when it’s ur own kid

Only if putting diaper cream on

No. Never have, I just wash my hands like I would after using the bathroom. We have a silicone diaper cream spatula too
