Has anyone had any luck getting their babies to use a straw cup?

We started using sippy cups a few months back with solids, but we want to transition to straw cups, but my baby can’t seem to grasp how to use them. Anyone have any tricks?

Mine loves it. We did the Dr Brown bottle straw to start him off with. Now he's drinking out of sippy straws.

Just keep practicing

Mine has been using straw cups since 7 Mo but now doesn't like sippy cups

My baby was just the opposite. She can't use sippies very well

Grosmimi on amazon is the brand that worked for her

Use a training straw cup you are able to squeeze it so some will come out so they learn how to use it we started my lo on one and once she got the hang of it we got her regular straw cups because she wouldn’t tilt sippy cups so we went straight to straw ones

If he like apple sauce or yogurt something like that put it on the tip to help practice the suction motion. Also, growsimimi straw cups helped one of my twins because you can detach the inside straw so it can be tipped like a bottle or sippy cup until they get it down

Dr. Brown or Zak are our favorites! Make sure you work on using open cups too.

@Vivi yes we used this exact one!

My little girl isn't ready yet. Lol

I took the straw and filled it with a bit of water plugging it with my finger and put the other end in her mouth and dropped it in there. Once she understood there was something in there she started to suck

Thank you everyone!!

@Vivi I use these as well and it only took a few days with these for my son to learn when he was around 6-7 months

Mine loves his sippy cup , only started to use it like 2 weeks ago
