Newborn vomiting yellow vomit

Hi, my 3 day old has been vomiting yellow vomit for two days now. She basically chocked on her vomit and we have to quickly sit her up so that it comes out. I’m worried as this sometime happens just before I’m about to sleep. Anyone had any advice b

Are you breastfeeding? It’s possible that baby is just spitting up your colostrum (which is yellow). But if you’re concerned, definitely bring it up with your pediatrician.

@Kendra yeah I am breastfeeding, I’m just worried about her chocking while I’m asleep

It looks like it could be mucus! My little girl would choke when she coughed it up too, it was horrible. The midwives told me to turn her on her side when it happens and rub her back upwards. Luckily it stopped after a few days!

Yes it did. Started a couple of days after she was born and then lasted a few days x

If you don’t mind me asking, was she born by c section or vaginally?

my 5 day old had that once or twice around 3 days as well but it was colostrum for us looks like it’s also colostrum for you.
