Nursery free hours

I applied for free hours in February and received my code online,however I have paid nursery in full for two months, they have gave me forms to fill in for free nursery this month and will be sending them off, they claimed they couldn’t apply until April. Does this mean I won’t get funding until September? This is making nursery very expensive 😩💀 and I am pretty much working for nothing at this point

If you log in to your childcare portal and read the old messages they should tell you when the code runs out. If it runs out before 31st March and you didn't reconfirm you can't get the funding. If you did reconfirm, or the code ran out after 1st April, challenge your nursery because you can get the funding.

If you only applied for your funding code in febuary then the nursery wouldn't have been able to use the funding until the new term which is April. I work in funding for my nursery and we have headlines etc set by the local council but we also have to check you funding code on our system which would say the eligible dates. You will be able to use your code from April. If your nursery says you can the challenge this x

It says to reconfirm between 21st April and 18th May so still eligible

Fingers crossed! As I really need it now, my money is so low and starting to panic me, without the free 15 hours nursery will cost over £500 a month which is a lot! Especially on a part time wage 🥺

You should be eligible from April. Ask the nursery to confirm. Have you filled in your paperwork and returned to the nursery already?x

The code can only start on a term I believe so my daughter started in July but couldn't use her code until September as that's when the new term started xx
