Breaking waters at induction
Has anyone just skipped the pessary and had your waters broken straight away at your induction? My midwife says they will do this as I'm already 2cm dilated and due to be induced on Monday. Just looking for people's experiences x

Yes. I didn’t want any more drugs than I needed to get through it. Like you I was already dilated a little so they broke my waters and contractions started by themselves quite quickly. He arrived in about six hours and it was so much better an experience than my previous labour where I’d let them talk me into the drip.
Yes I had this with my second, in hindsight I would have insisted on getting the pessary. I got the pessary with my first and my waters went ‘naturally’ from it and the labour was a generally better and less intense experience x
