St Michael's midwife led unit experiences?

I was intending on giving birth at St Mikes - my ideal would be a water birth in the MLU. I've read however they may not have the MLU open if they are short staffed, which is making me wonder whether I should consider a home birth or Mendip birth centre. Does anyone have recent experiences at St Mikes?

They have a room with a birthing pool in the CDU at St Michael's as well but it's a bit of lottery whether you'd get it. We were lucky - didn't even ask for it and got it ;) x

Ive had both my babies here, midwifes were amazing to me. I did want a water birth but i was progressing to quickly to be able to have it x but other than that nothing bad to say about it and having my 3rd baby there too xx
