What are people's experiences with having a sweep done in first pregnancy?

It didn't work, so I ended up being induced.
Mine brought on slow labour after about 6 hours from having it done but my (very painful) contractions were so inconsistently timed that I spent a whole weekend awake and in pain before I finally caved and asked hospital to induce labour. Which also was nasty. Naturally I haven’t accepted one since…
I wasn’t able to get none my first n w my second it didn’t do much n I’m being induced tn at 40+4:/
