Second child?

Hi! Any moms here decided only to have one child or maybe hold off a bit to have their second? Struggling to see how we could swing having a second right now, but do really want one. Thank you!

We just had our second. He is a week old. I can say with 0% doubt that we are good with just the two. Financially it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to have a 3rd. Also medically I don't think it's best for me.

We would like a second but it doesn't seem like a good time financially. We just finally bought a house to avoid the constantly increasing rent costs, but it's still more than we wish we were paying every month. I'm not getting any younger so I didn't really want to keep waiting, but... I just don't see how we can swing it. Maybe in another year or two it will feel feasible again. I hope.

I want another child. However, I was so sick my first pregnancy. And I'm very active with my baby girl. I think I'll feel horrible if I can't be as accessible with her. I'm pretty old so I don't want to wait. I don't know.

We were one and done for a while. We have teased with the idea of a second. Tried to get pregnant for a while and couldn’t. We are okay with just the one. If another happens then it happens

I just had my 3rd actually lol I have a 9 almost 10 year old a 1 almost 2 year old and a 3 month old. I’m telling you waiting that 8 years to have another was good but at the same time my oh my has the time changed since then. But now doing the whole 2 under 2 is exhausting but I love it they will be best of friends. That did also make 3 CSections in total so anymore would be very Risky on my body not to mention my high blood pressure when I’m pregnant. My last pregnancy was rough and don’t ever wanna go through another pregnancy again so I also got a Tubal ligation where they cut and removed my tubes completely.

My second is 4 months old. I think I might be done. After my first I was like “I want four”. Now after my second I’m good. I don’t need four. I love love love our newest addition but I also recognize that financially and emotionally and just time wise I don’t want to have to divide it up any more. If we had another down the road I’d love that baby just as much as my others. But I hate what being pregnant/postpartum does to me, and let’s be honest I’m not rich and in this economy two really is the 80’s four.

I think I’ll be one and done. 😊
