My 2 and a half yr old is just like this rn. I just keep trying girl. They will grow out of it. Til then I just try new things and even find healthier snake options like protein cookies to keep her eating.
Thank you for responding. I'll look into healthier snack options ❤️❤️
I've been experimenting with making snacks with hidden veggies. I found a recipe for chocolate veggie muffins that my son loves and a couple recipes for breakfast cookies that are also good. Just keep trying. I will also just give him a plate with 1 thing I know he will eat and a couple other things he sometimes eats and just leave him alone. I don't bother him or watch over what he's eating. Sometimes it works and sometimes he will only eat the one type of food 🤷♀️
Be patient and keep trying. He might be teething and not want to chew hard foods. The two foods you mention are practically liquids, so I'd start with something that matches that texture/consistency. Try making soups, smoothies, or purees.
My almost two year old is doing this right now… She used to eat an egg with cheese, toast and berries for breakfast and some days change it up and do oatmeal and berries… she loved her veggies before whatever dinner we where making and right now she’s pretty much getting her veggies from packets… and breakfast is maybe a banana with PB… she changes her mind daily on what she will eat it’s crazy! It’s not just the healthy stuff she won’t eat a fry or chicken nugget… it’s crazy! I normally keep it he food I make her and when she’s says she’s hungry I try again… sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t…
Kids Eat In Color (you can find them on instagram but they have a website too) talks about picky eating! They have a paid course, but also have some free info too.
Mine is super picky too! We make sure she gets her nutrition with Ella olla vitamins and a liquid iron supplement we put in her milk. (She always finishes that) We have noticed a significant change in her behavior. Less tantrums and sometimes… she will try new food. Not always but she will take a taste test lol
Thank you, all great advice! Will keep at it!
My daughter is the same way supperrr picky
