Waiting allergy testing

My baby had a reaction to cow and gate porridge and ended up in hospital, he’s had a couple of reactions since to different fruit and veg so we’ve been advised to avoid every ingredient in the porridge (wheat, soy, and milk) and not to try the things he reacted to again (or fruit) So my question is what can I wean him on? We’ve done carrots and broccoli so far and no reaction to them. I’m struggling to find breakfast stuff could I try?

Eggs, maybe oatmeal with water and honey?

Thankyou for your reply, I’ve been advised not to try any allergens until he’s been for his allergy test and in the uk it’s not recommended you give babies under one honey

Have you got a full list of what he has reacted to and what you can’t give him? As this might make it easier. My daughter had quite a few things which she reacted to which made weaning her quite difficult. You’re more than welcome to give me a message as well as we’ve been through this☺️

Oof this is tricky.. it's not the most nutritional but bit of his usual milk (whether that's formula or breast) with baby rice? You could mix in the safe veggies to give him the taste but also a bit more texture than just puree. Are you BLW or going puree? If blw you could cook the veg in different ways, just to give him different textures. Has he had potato yet? Might be a safe one to try which can be prepared in different ways. Or oats? There are a few recipes for flourless/eggless pancakes online using oats, almond flour, or coconut flour as wheat alternative and banana instead of eggs. But it depends what is on your safe list already!

@Liz honey cannot be given to under 1 year olds

just popping in to say that you don't have to have breakfast foods for breakfast! you can have or serve any foods at any time of day.

If it helps I am using the app Solid Starts and it tells you which food contains allergens. I am using the free version, no need to pay for it unless you want to use other features of the app
