Iron deficiency during pregnancy

I’m in my 9th week of pregnancy and have iron deficiency. I cannot take oral iron because of severe nausea and my doctors keep doing blood tests without actual giving any treatments apart of oral iron which made me extremely unwell before pregnancy(headaches, fainting and nausea) . I haven’t had my first appointment with midwife aswell yet but just wanted to ask if anyone went through the same thing in this group.

I’ve been in this situation from my first blood test at week 10 to now.. week 27 .. the midwife would not even repeat my thalessemia screening which I suspect is reported incorrectly. I got my gp and gastro consultant involved. I have documented inflammation in stool on multiple repeat tests and still they don’t take an action. I think it’ll be taken seriously only in the last trimester.

@Zoya honestly it’s so annoying. In my last pregnancy, I became anaemic and they gave me an IV in last trimester but the expectation to endure all the symptoms and possible complications, until last trimester is absurd.
