I had a prolapse following first baby and I’m now 9 months pp with my second who I delivered naturally. My second birth was actually a better experience than my first. Prolapse initially seemed worse immediately after birth but after a few weeks, once everything began to heal, its no worse off than previously.
I had a cystocele and rectocele from my first pregnancy. With pelvic floor PT my symptoms got a lot better before becoming pregnant with my second. Honestly, it didn’t bother me much during my second pregnancy and it has not gotten any worse after delivering my second (and I had 9 lb babies both times, vaginal births). I talked to my doctor about it and she said the concern with it getting worse would be a lot of extended pushing, like with my first where I pushed for 3 hours. This time, baby #2 was out in 15 min. Many women have to push a lot less for subsequent pregnancies. Of course everyone’s experience is different but I’m pretty much back to where I was as far as symptoms before my second baby
Thank you all so much. I’m so happy you all had such positive experiences 💕 hopefully I follow in your prolapse footsteps lol
YES! ME. I had my first son natural and had a prolapse. I was so nervous with my second pregnancy cuz i was still healing and starting to feel problems happening as he was growing in the pregnancy. I started doing daily pelvic floor excerises and stretches towards the end of my 2nd trimester until birth. I had my 2nd natural also and I took my bed rest after birth VERY serious. I'm now almost 3months pp and I haven't had not a single problem 🥰 and I was terrified I woulf
