How is everyone going with toilet training?

It feels like we’re trying everything but he’s just not interested in using the toilet. We put him in undies, he sits on the big toilet and on his potty but he refuses to go. We could spend the whole day without a nappy on while we try putting him on the toilet every half an hour to an hour but he just won’t go. He just waits and goes all over the floor. The only times we managed to get him to go on the toilet was when we saw he was about to go on the floor and we had to run him over but even then he barely goes. He holds it. Is there anything else we could be trying?

How old is he? Could be he's just not ready yet

@Kiara he turned 2 at the start of march. We’ve been sitting him on the toilet in hopes to get him used to it since he could start walking independently.

My boy was 2 in Feb and we have started toilet training. Did 1 month of just sitting him in toilet and he would do a wee but still wearing a nappy. We are now in day 7 no nappies. He goes wee when I prompt him but still only self initiated maybe 20-30% of the time. Only got 1 poo on toilet rest have been logs in the floor. Things he has learnt from toilet training so far 1. How to pull underwear down 2. What underwear is (didn’t know prior) 3. How and where to go toilet 4. Will tell me he has done 80% of time now before it was 0% 5. Will self initiate 20-30% for toilet before was 0% 6. Can hold his wee now between 30-60mins depending on how much he has drunk (before was every 15-20 mins he was peeing) 7. No longer wants to wear nappies (tries pulling it off at bedtime ) 😂😅 So some improvement but a long way to go
