My son keeps doing it too he's just exploring textures I reckon it's normal for them do it but yes it's very irritating! Cause I just want him to eat but right now he's gone from savory food to sweet!! He's so fussy x
My daughter is awful when she's full. Are you leaving enough time between milk and food or snack?
My son just gets board in his highchair n don't enjoy meal times at atall
@Ashleigh yeah it can be a few hours and he still does it
@Ellie-May I think my boy gets bored too and thinks it's more fun to chuck it on the floor than eat it
Oh yes definitely x
Completely depends on my daughters mood but 50% of the time it’s like I’ve turned a blender on when she’s eating, my dogs absolutely love it though 🙄😅
My little girl also does this! I just ask her if she’s finished, take the plate away then wait a few minutes and just put little bits back in her tray and she sometimes eats it other times it’s back on the floor! I think you’re also not meant to engage with it, just ignore it! Which is extremely hard! I also have to put my dogs in their crate as they’ve become so greedy 😂 and expecting food all the time now! 🤦🏼♀️
I don’t serve mine everything at once. I was finding she got a bit overwhelmed and sometimes gets bored if she’s chewing something so starts throwing her food. So I usually only serve her half her food to start with and then add to it when needed if it’s needed
Similar to Sophie quite often if she’s chewing something and you try and offer her something else she’ll throw it. Like she can’t possibly have it on her tray if she can’t eat it immediately. She also throws food when she needs a drink. The sippy cup goes on the floor after every sip too so we don’t always keep it in reach
Pick it off the floor and put it back on the plate then she normally eats it 😁
