Constipation

Ok.. I’m looking for all the suggestions to help with constipation for my extremely picky child. He doesn’t like juice, I’ve tried repeatedly, and while it’s not a bad problem to have, situations like this make it frustrating. I’m trying to limit the constipating foods, but they’re his favorites and it’s making feeding him hard (banana, rice, yogurt, cheese, etc.) he’ll eat things like berries and avocado sometimes, but it’s hit or miss.. It’s been 2 full days of no poop, and I’m starting to get worried. So! I need all your suggestions pretty please. 🙏🏻

Keep giving water and keep him hydrated. Does he like fruit and oatmeal? My child poops daily because of either juice that I give them that’s half-and-half, water and juice or an applesauce pouch that has blueberries and vegetables in it as well. But without fail, I always know a couple servings of fruit, especially if they haven’t pooped in a couple days, we really get those bowels moving.

@Lori we did some fruit and oatmeal for breakfast today… no movement yet, but lunch is also heavy handed on the fruit side of things, so I’m hoping that gets stuff moving! Thank you!

Carrots and gram crackers- my daughter loves cheese so those was my go to to keep her digestive system going But you can try pears or peaches

Do you already give him MiraLAX? I have to give it to my daughter daily or she will be extremely constipated.

@Meghan I haven’t! My pediatrician told us to try some of the culturelle kids, so I put that in some applesauce. He did end up finally going! It’s been increasingly difficult with him getting extra picky all of a sudden, but we’re trying to keep his fiber intake up.
