Baby crying as soon as bottle removed

My son is nearly 9 weeks old and always cries almost hysterically as soon as we remove the bottle to burp him/give him a break to ensure he's not overfed. He has struggled to put on weight so we have a feeding plan with the feeding team. Anyone else experience this? We are combi feeding

Yea my guy (now 6 months) was and sometimes still is like that.. we also have (and still are) having some troubles gaining weight… We thought if we upped his bottle we would be over feeding him, but it was very much the opposite. As soon as we upped the bottle he stopped screaming.. so now whenever he gets like that we up the bottle just slightly and he is good to go! As for the weight gain, it will come. My little guy is gaining weight just very slowly so we are being monitored closely.

Glad you've got support for with the slow weight gain. How many mls did you stop to burp/see if full when your son was a similar age? It gives me a sense of dread the thought of going out for the day/feeding in public as he's not BF as well as he needs too and just screams if he can't latch straighaway. He also put his hands in front of his mouth/flails his arms right in front of where he needs to go which makes it harder to get him on.

My boys were the same but we had to do it because of their reflux

sounds like they’re still hungry x
