Antenatal classes advice please!

We're currently signed up for the free online NCT antenatal classes to start on July and wondering if it is worth paying for face to face? Some people have recommended the NCT face to face ones but other friends not so much as it was quite similar to the online one and quite pricey at £299. Does anyone have any advice based on your antenatal experiences of anything you've signed up to do in the near future? Thanks! ☺️

I did the free online NCT classes, you’re still popped into a whatsapp group with everyone so you can arrange a meet up! There were 9 in mine and 1 year on we all still meet up. Having a joint 1st party for all the babes this weekend! of course only my experience but I’m so glad I didn’t pay.

@Ruth oh that sounds great! Love that you are doing a joint 1st party ☺️ That's the main thing I wondered about, is the social element different with it being online but great to know it's easy to connect with others still. And I suppose it depends on who's in your group too, so even if I did pay for face to face may not have the same network after. Thanks so much for replying ☺️

@Holly Yeah I think you’re absolutely right! I’ve known people who do the face to face ones and then don’t meet up, and likewise the same with online, but we definitely still instigated a meet up and then I guess it goes from there (or it doesn’t!). Xx

I thought I'd add, we did the free one and we were put in the WhatsApp group. I guess it depends on the group as no one really spoke in ours and I did wish we paid for the face to face one as it woild have been nice to have friends with babies around the same age. But I guess either way, someone has to make the effort to chat and arrange a meet up 😀

@Becky thanks Becky also good to know. That was one of my concerns if nobody engaged in the group/wants to meet up or anything but hoping if I can't make Mum friends there I can elsewhere if I make the effort! 🙏🏽☺️
