I had this with a childminder before I reported it because it kept happening and it’s disgusting really! Xx

Awww they have been there all day poor baby :-( do they not teach him how to wipe his nose with a tissue?

@Francesca they said that he refused every time they asked. When I ask him if I can wipe his nose, he will stand still and allow me too. If he needs his nose wiping he will even come up to me and ask or he will get a tissue himself and do it. I don’t think they have tissues accessible to the children which makes me sad x

@Megan I would ask them to. Can you keep some in his bag on his peg? My LO would probably go and get one if he needed it and knew it was there. Tbh it’s basic care - the nursery should be on this!!

@Francesca there’s wipes in his bag but I don’t think he can access him bag. They get hung up on pegs x

@Megan id personally report it especially if this isn’t the first time it’s happened! Like someone else said it’s basic care needs of a child and really isn’t acceptable to be sending a child home like that, from the looks of it that has been there building up all day and it is not on! Xx

That’s simply neglectful. Definitely raise this- imagine being like this all day.. it hurts when crusts form as well but to leave it like this is totally unacceptable. They should be wiping it consistently so it doesn’t get to this! I’m be so upset!

Yeah no I’ve had issues with my previous daycare over this and I would definitely bring it up to the director / boss over his teachers , him “not letting them” isn’t a real issue , it’s a health concern not like brushing his hair or something , if you leave snot on the nose too long it can literally start bleeding
