When did daycare dropoff crying settle for everyone?

It's only week 2 but according to her teachers, she cries most of the time. Thankfully I haven't gone back to work and am doing a very slow entry. Like 1 hour a week and then up to 2 hours this week. But when did your kids stop crying at drop offs if at all? So I can mentally prepare?? (My girl is 14 months old for relativity)

Kiddo was 16 months when he started and did half days for a week then full days. He cried for 4 weeks at drop off 😭

@Ashlee Thanks for the input mama. How is he now? Happy to go? Has made peace with it?

Mine is on his second week too, some days he cries and some days not. But he almost always cries when I pick him up 😓 he’s almost 13 months

He was eventually happy to go but still struggled with nap time. After those 4 weeks he started walking away from the front door to go see his friends without even giving me a hug 🤗 when I picked him up each day I could hear his voice screaming, super happily, "MAMA" and he'd run to give me a big hug at the door. So he did seem to like it eventually. We pulled him out about 3 months ago because I am on mat leave with our second kiddo. Hoping to get him into a preschool instead of a home daycare when I go back to work

My daughter was 13 months and unfortunately got thrown right into the deep end and started immediately with full days. She cried for maybe a week, but every day was like less and less. Now she runs into the room and barely says bye😂😂 (she’s going to be 3 in July)

Probably closer to a month. It's a huge adjustment for them. Now, he absolutely loves going to daycare!

My son started going same age as yours and it took a little over a month for him to settle in - now he loves it there and is excited to see his friends. It's so difficult to leave them when they are upset, but it does get easier! 💕
