Yeah my mum put kala dhaga on her , got her Kara from India it’s abit big so will just wait x

I put one on my daughter when she was 3 week old, plan to do the same with this baby. You can always place a kara under the cot but remember practice of a black thread is not believed in Sikhi, a kara and black thread do not hold the same significance xx
I put the Kara on both my boys as soon as they were home. I also put a flat kirpan in the cot
it's a personal choice if you want to protect your child from nazar alot of Sikhs still believe in it.

My 5 week old is too small to fit the kada we got for him 😅 For now I have put kirpan and kada below his cot.
on first birthday, on new born we put black thread around ankle
