Recipe ideas to prevent bad acid reflux

Third trimester acid reflux is kicking my butt 😩 I mostly make gringo Mexican sorts of dinners but my body can't seem to handle that right now. I could use some recipe ideas that wouldn't cause reflux and aren't super bland. Note, dairy and white meat don't seem to bother me but anything with slightly ✨spicy✨ seasoning or tomato based does.

As someone who has had acid reflux my entire life things that help are: milk, watermelon, I love chicken Alfredo, chicken and other lean meats and bread things to avoid: tomatoes or tomato sauce, acidic fruits like oranges or lemons (including lemonade or orange juice even apple juice), caffeine and carbonated beverages, fatty meat like ground beef or bacon and honey is not good it’s also acidic

I ate a lot of plain rice but made in bone broth with chicken, search up chicken rice porridge. I also ate a lot of baked potatoes and add whatever toppings you think will be okay.

😭 water used to give me heartburn during my pregnancies. Only thing that helped it was Omeprazole. *side note as per the old wives tales all 3 of my children were born with a lot of hair*

@Sharnee I guess I should say certain foods don't trigger it as badly. Either way I have to take several Tums throughout the day to avoid is discomfort. Wasn't near as bad for my first pregnancy, but ironically he came out with very little hair lol

Pepcid works much better. But you can ask your doctor for something prescription to help too if that doesn’t work! I finally made the request like two days ago and now I feel great!!! Don’t wait 😘
