Nursery invoice advice

My little one is starting to do 2 days a week term time only which is suppose to be 31.24 a day as he has 15 free hours and can use 6 hours a day. On 2 of the sessions in the month they are charging 64 a session and not taking the funding off. I’m trying to figure the invoice out and honestly don’t understand how it works. Just wondering if anyone else’s child attends a busy bees nursery and could see if it’s a mistake that’s ever happened to them or not as they wasn’t that helpful on the phone.

Is it a term time only nursery? If not then it doesn’t work out as 15 hours a week as it is spread over 52 weeks it is more like 11 hours!

No it’s open during half term but my little one is only on a term time only contract so he only attends 38 weeks of the year. I understand I pay for bank holidays but I can’t understand the £64 for the 26th and 30th as it’s within term time

I would check with them then - maybe it’s a mistake?

When is half term where you are? That week is half term here.

@Andi ahhh just had a look it is half term 🙉 did not realise that! So they shouldn’t have charged me at all for that week. Thankyou! X

I'd speak to them. It may be they booked baby in at half term and didn't realise you wouldn't need it. Our nursery is term time only, but opens during most of the school holidays (closes for August and Christmas) at full hourly rate 'holiday club'. Just a 'hi, I've noticed on the invoice that ___ has been booked in over half term. ___ is on a term time only contract and we have childcare covered in the holidays so he doesn't need to attend over the holidays. Could you please remove this from the invoice so I can pay the correct amount for next month?'
