Baby acne or eczema?

Would everyone say this is still baby acne? It’s so dry and his poor ear is too:( A couple of obvious scratch marks where he’s scratched through night so surely he thinks it’s itchy? It’s probably normal but it’s so awful to look at feel terrible for it being on his face🤍 (this is all over his face,neck and behind both ears. He’s 6 week old)

Personally, I’d say eczema. Keep an eye on it though, could also be an allergy rash x

@Jennifer going to send doctors some photos when they open,it’s all across his forehead too so not sure if it’s cradle cap,had to drown the poor kid in Vaseline🥲xx

My midwife said if you run your finger over the spots if they disappear it's probably baby acne but if they don't it's most likely something else.

@Madi yeah, it’s not very nice. Makes you feel awful as a mum not being able to help much. Hope all is okay and its just baby acne xx

Baby acne I thought really should have cleared by now. My boy had it 2 weeks and it was gone by 4 weeks. Any other symptoms that could suggest maybe CMPA?

@Jessica my doctor said baby acne can last up to 4 months

@Saff have you tried bathing him in breast milk or pumping a bit and rubbing it on his face? Beef tallow cream would be good too. Xxxx

@Zara yes the midwives have advised that actually! We bathed him with some breast milk and his rash has nearly cleared up x

@Saff I actually applied some directly to his rash before bed and honestly has made such a difference but his face has just dried up! Xx
