In need of positive stories about leaving baby!
So I’m trying to find a part time job just to start having an income again as I chose to quit my last one due to being pregnant.
I haven’t left my baby for more than 20 minutes with anyone really, not even her dad as she’s quite an apprehensive little being and ebf so just easier to keep her with me as she’s calmer, happier and I get more stress free days.
I’ve found a job where I will work 2 hours a day which seems perfect but I’m wondering how do i transition my baby to being left with my mum for those 2 hours?
When did other people start leaving their babies with people? How did the babies find it?
I did this with my first I struggled to leave him with anyone as he was ebf but once he started on solids, he was easier to please as he would last longer between feeds if I wasn't around and was more receptive to taking milk in a bottle or sippy cup if I wasn't around. He wouldn't take a bottle before then. We just did short stints of leaving him with someone else, say 30 mins and increased the time. I think it was more for me than him as he was totally fine and I was out of the house around 9 hours for work. This time with baby no2 he has already been left with others for a few hours here and there and introduced bottles of expressed milk from early on... Learning curve 😂 Hope that's somewhat reassuring for you xxx
