Brushing teeth

My baby’s first 2 teeth have erupted! Wondering if I should be brushing these or waiting until they’re a bit more grown out? I tried brushing them lightly yesterday after her bath and they started bleeding a bit so I stopped, am I too early to be brushing them?

Generally - yes brush teeth as soon as they arrive. Make sure you're using age appropriate toothbrush / toothpaste. But missing a few days won't do any harm ☺️ x

@Ellie she literally said about bleeding which freaked me out? Is it ok to still brush?

I would wait until they erupt completely. That's whatmy baby's pediatrician said to me. I am brushing his little 2 teeth as well. I bought a baby's toothbrush and toothpaste. Colgate and aquafresh have good toothbrush. I bought aquafresh toothpaste for my little one

For bleeding, I’d say it’s normal if it’s just a small amount and it goes away quickly, especially since the baby is teething and the teeth are just breaking through the gums. As long as you’re not brushing too firmly, it should be fine. I’m using oral wipes and a silicone toothbrush for my 7 month old, no bleeding issues so far! xx
