School offer appeal

Does it tell you how to appeal on the website?

There should be a button next to the ranking saying “respond” if you click that you can choose to appeal x

We had this for my oldest last year. Speak to the schools admissions team in your area incase it varies in each area. But I was advised to accept it and go onto the waiting list for our 1st and 2nd choice. We did that. We actually ended up going to look at another school (my oldest is awaiting assessment for ASD and ADHD so we were really anxious about him going to a school that would support him). We applied for a place at the other school and the day I was sending off the paperwork got offered our 1st choice. You can ask to find out where you are on the waiting list for each school but that can change going up or down (if someone who meets the criteria applies they'll go above you on the waiting list). We didn't appeal but you could appeal and had to fill out a form, we live on a boarder so thdh were in different counties, to appeal at one we had to get the form from the school for the other it was via the schools admission team at the local authority. I havnt had an email - how do I find out what’s been accepted?

I didn't get an email until I responded to the offer. I had to log onto the portal that we did the application on do you have a portal where you did it? Xx

I didn't get an email and I accidentally deleted the one I received when I applied and now can't access the link. 😭 Is the link to the portal different for each council?

Our link is on our council's page. So if imagine so. Can you Google school admissions team then the name.of your local authority? Failing that is there a Facebook local mums page you could post on to ask? Xx

@Rachael thanks 😊 I checked online, the admission page and there is no link at all. 😔

I went on the submission portal and couldn’t find a login anywhere so I clicked on apply button again and then abit further in there was a login/create login and then I was able to click on the applications in process and see my offer :) thankfully at my 1st choice 🥰

We got our first choice too! 😊
