Night out Melbourne
My husband says he wants to take me out for drinks and a dance on Saturday night which I’m all for but last time we did this we were the only 30 year olds in a club full of 18 year old and we felt so awkward. Is there a spot in Melbourne that’s for us oldies to go to and have a good night and not feel like the oldest people in the room? Just want to suggest something else and hope he agrees. We prefer rnb music. Neither of us are from here so please recommend your favourite pub/bar with good music 🙌🏼

There are some Latin/Mexican bars in Melb that have salsa lessons as well as good food and drinks- great for a date night..one called Fidel’s at Crown, Hotel Mexico in yarraville, Bar Mexico in Preston, Ellora in St Kilda, MsCollins on Thursday nights (Latin) and The Albion rooftop on Fridays. I attend The Albion every Friday for my salsa lessons, Reggaeton plays around 11.30. I tend to go more Latin nights and Afrobeats than RnB. I find Latin nights has a lot more varied crowd and I don’t feel old as up to 60-70yrs olds attending to dance salsa. Fidel’s is great for a date night though nice vibes and you can drop by Level 3 crown clubs after. If you want RnB the Albion on a Sat night has RnB but I’m more sure about the “crowd” as I’ve only ever been on Fri not Sat. There’s food a available upstairs until midnight if you wanted a bite.
