Birthday help

Help! I need birthday party ideas. And to figure out where to have the party. My sons 2nd birthday is next month and I’m torn between having his party at our house or having it outside at a park. I can’t afford to have it at a party place or I’d do that. With the park I worry about it being too hot and crowded and what time of day would be best to have it. Having the party at home adds more prep for cleaning up before and after.

We opted for a smaller group activity/ day out this year instead of a party

Last yr we wanted to do a park, but we got rain the day before and decided to do it at home. I would say park, depending on how many people are coming and have an indoor backup

I vote park. Depending on the time of day you can avoid the worst of the heat. But some parks are pretty big, you shouldn’t have to worry about it being crowded

I did a park last year (rented out a shelter) and this year we are doing the same except I didn’t rent a shelter and the park we are going to has lots of picnic table options as well as we are doing it early to attempt to beat any crowds. I would vote park for less prep for you. If possible, send someone ahead to scout and pick out a good spot. Good luck and happy birthday to your son! How are they 2 already??

I see you mentioned party ideas. We are doing 2 Fast and I’m telling people to bring any cars they want to play with outside. I’m going as low budget as possible, people bring their own entertainment, hang out at the park, eat some snacks, basically a low key hang and my son will get to run around and play with cars, get a few presents, and hang out with his little friends for about an hour. They are only 2 and likely won’t remember this birthday.
