Baby reins

Hi all just wondering peoples thoughts on baby reins. My LO is a confident walker (walked at 10months) so when out and about he prefers to walk instead of the pram… but he keeps darting for the road. I was thinking of reins but not sure if 1 he’d kick up a fuss with them or 2 if they are worth it? Any mumma’s here using them?

I bought them for the nursery run as carrying him, and my newborn car seat was a nightmare haha. I’ve used them once but to be honest, they’re such a faff to get on and they don’t feel secure enough to me. I do see the value in them as they get older to stop them from running off as you say but I’m abit torn too x

we bought reins, and have maybe used them 2-3 times since january. he quite quickly caught on that if he didn't hold hands, he would get out in pram/carried Xx

I've seen a dad at toddler group with the ends of his scarf in each hand around his son's middle - not tried it myself yet but looked like a good way to have some guidance without the faff of reins

We have the toddl pak ones and I love them! Used them for my eldest and again for my second. The catch in the back is quite stiff to start with but it gets easier as you use them. Really give me peace of mind that she can’t run off and get hurt, but she loves the freedom to explore and wander a little more as she wants to.

We use the backpack ones and they're great

We also use a backpack and she loves it, still gives her enough freedom x

Thanks all, I’ve brought some backpack ones to try out!
