Hi guys,
I’ve just had my email regarding my son’s school place for September 25. It’s going to sound thick, but do year R students do PE? Or is that a question I’ll have to ask his school?
Because I’ve got a teenage stepdaughter in school and know we’re going to pay a couple of hundred to her mum for her uniform in September I’m trying to get my boys bits between now and then so when summer comes it doesn’t hit us as hard financially.

Depends on the school but when my girls started they didn't do pe until after Christmas so they can settle in. Have a look on the school website or you could email and ask, they probably won't answer until next week though cos of the holidays.
Yes they do PE but it may be only plimsolls required for the first few terms as changing into pe kits is a lot at first. The school may also want specific kit e.g a house coloured top.
I imagine they would at some point, some do it later in the term, my daughter goes to Newington and started the 3rd week in. She also wears her pe clothes to school rather than changing at school (their rules) so you may just want to contact the school to find out?
