First look at the reason for denial, and build a case against that.

Run it through AI… As my lawyer with a strong background and knowledge in education and zoning. Build a case against denial for [insert your denial reason]. Analyze previous overturned cases & use them as support to reason my acceptance. Take into consideration my current situation [insert all details important to why you want this specific school … such as but not limited to .. your route to work, special programs your kid will benefit from, unsafe district you live in, etc]

How do you check reason for denial ?

I’m not sure where you are but here in north of Ireland you can only appeal if you can show that the school did not correctly follow their criteria as laid out in admissions and application

Just consider if you want your child to be squashed into the already crowded classroom (depending on size of school). I’m a teacher and every child who has won an appeal has caused one child to be on the end of a table because of the size and logistics of the classroom. I’m not saying don’t appeal, but I agree about looking at why they’ve denied you a place.

It says there was more applications than places and other applicants has a higher priority for a place.

I’d ask where you are on the waiting list. We didn’t get into any of our four schools with my son. Did think about appealing the school he was at as he is autistic but unfortunately believed that the school he went to could meet his needs.
