2.5 yr old prefers dad

It’s normal for toddlers to go through stages of different preferences. They can last a while too. He probably just misses dad and knows he’s got you the rest of the time.
I’m SAHM to my 2.5 year old daughter and she definitely goes through stages. I take the wanting daddy stages as a blessing, gives me a little break since i’m 30 weeks pregnant and ALWAYS tired🤣But when its daddy stages, I know it’s just because she misses him and knows she’ll see me all the time
My 2.5 year old daughter prefers her dad too right now, he still loves you, sometimes they'll prefer dad and sometimes they'll prefer Mom. Dad probably worried the same when he preferred you, it's normal to feel like that you just gotta remind yourself that he loves you

I wouldn’t take it personal. Mine is the same way. Think of if you spent all day every day with the same person, you might want a break or a change of scenery too.
