Hackney Council Housing

Hey guys I have a 4yr old and currently live with my mum shes given me a notice that I will need move out soon. What can I expect from the council once I call them? Thanks!

They will schedule you a you a housing assessment. It’s often made up of two assessments. You will be in priority need because of your 4yr old - so they will have duty to house you and will make an offer of accommodation eventually. It’s not likely to be an offer of social housing at this stage - will likely be temporary accommodation which could pretty much anywhere but hopefully in an area you like. Best of luck. It’s okay it’s 1 bed shared bathroom and toilet. And yeah it’s in Hackney

Nope no visitors allowed 😭 but the hostel is very clean

A lot of hostels in Hackney are filthy and disgusting full off crackheads 😭 hopefully if they do place you in one it’s a nice one

They won’t help you until you’ve actually been made homeless, so get her to write a letter to say she’s kicked you out.
