Nursery fees

Hey! Is there anyone here that sends their child to nursery for 4 full days - receives 30hrs funding that could tell me roughly how much you’re charged a month? Based on the day rate being anywhere from £65-80. Thanks ☺️

You would need to ask each individual nursery. Some will spread the 30 hours over the full year so you get less than 30 hours a week but every week, others might stick with the term time only which is the original rules of the funding. The nursery I use then charges an hourly rate not day rate for additional hours/days. At the moment my son gets the 15 free hours but the day that I don't receive any funding at all I have to pay 10x the hourly rate rather than the usual day rate. There's also a cost for food etc that can be charged for fully funded days so on his fully funded day I have to pay £12.

I just need an average tbh to send to our mortgage advisor 😂

Ah fair enough. Worth mentioning that some nursery places need booking approx a year in advance too so if you haven't sorted one but will need one then it's worth starting the ball rolling. Otherwise I would target one of the most expensive in your area and get the costings off of them. If you give your mortgage advisor the most expensive option it should mean there would be no issues with affording the mortgage regardless of if you go with them or someone cheaper
