I found calamine really hard to use on little ones because it’s so runny and they don’t stay still.
Piriton liquid helped us a lot, pharmacist recommended it as it reduces the itching and it was a lifesaver. We also had some virasoothe (I think it was called) spray.
The other thing that seemed to help was tepid baths. We filled a sock with porridge oats and threw that in. It makes the water all kind of milky and helps soothe the itch/spots somehow.
Then obviously calpol for any of the other symptoms xxx
