Anyone has chickenpox with their toddler, is calamine lotion enough to reduce itchiness?

I found calamine really hard to use on little ones because it’s so runny and they don’t stay still. Piriton liquid helped us a lot, pharmacist recommended it as it reduces the itching and it was a lifesaver. We also had some virasoothe (I think it was called) spray. The other thing that seemed to help was tepid baths. We filled a sock with porridge oats and threw that in. It makes the water all kind of milky and helps soothe the itch/spots somehow. Then obviously calpol for any of the other symptoms xxx

Virasoothe and antihistamines aswell,.calpol if in pain

Oat baths, piriton, calamine lotion and Calpol xx
