She says poo a lot and sometimes has pooed or does so soon after. Don’t think she knows when she’s weed at all yet
If she's really upset by it, which it sounds like it is, you'd be better off stopping as otherwise it's going to become really stressful for her and isn't conducive for her learning. Also not ideal if she's just had a stomach bug and constipation. The Eric website says to make sure anything like that is fully resolved before starting. Have you checked that out? It's a really helpful resource.
Thanks just had a look. I’d like to give up this time to be honest but my partner is always the optimist and is keen to keep trying. Hopefully I’m proved wrong but I don’t see her getting it any time soon and it’s stressing me and her out
I just feel like its early. I dont know if im in denial but i feel theyre too little 😭
You can put them on the potty once you start noticing that they can hold their wee for at least two hours. If you see that a diaper is barely wet after 2-3 hours it’s a good time to start training.
Based on her pattern today she wees at least every 20-30 minutes so I don’t see it being easy to train now. The longest she went today was an hour or so. We’ve agreed to wait for a while, mostly based on the constipation issue. She’s clearly been really stressed all day so I’m glad we’ve finally seen the same thing
I did give it a go but he wouldn’t sit on the potty and kept cried. I keep it out so he can get used to it for now but deffo nowhere near ready yet x
Every kid is different, mine has a brother 20 months older so has always seen him using it and wants to, so I put her on every hour or so when we’re home if she does one we praise her and let her have nappy free time but we’re just following her lead at this age
Was she indicating to you that she either needed the loo or had been in her nappy before this weekend? We haven't started training yet as my boy has only just started indicating to us and we were advised by all the parents who have kids slightly older than us to wait for that sign so we know LO understands why they are going on the potty.
