New Baby
Looking for some advice on how to tell my 12y/o SD that we are expecting another baby. My little boy is 2- and even though she took news of the pregnancy really well, she didn’t take his arrival as well. My worry is that’s how this announcements going to go 😭
My plan is to tell her with our parents as a joint announcement - as I feel their excitement will help soften the blow. I know her BM is going to cause uproar so I’ve asked my other half to not tell her, SD can do so if she wishes. I don’t know how else I can make it as stress free as possible 🙈 any advice is really appreciated

We told my SD and she was apprehensive and nervous that it would make the house too busy and chaotic. When she seemed apprehensive we asked her why and she told us this. We spoke about how we can all work together to ensure that doesn’t happen and that we as parents will be the ones to care for the baby and nothing has to change for her etc perhaps have a conversation with them about how they would feel and then use reassurance xx
