6 or 7. They have popcorn chips, safer. I literally saved a 2 year old girls life at target. She was with her dad and older sister. She was choking and I grabbed her from her dad and got it out of her. It was a terrible situation that could have killed her

@🍄🍍🍋Lena 🍉🍒🫑🥬🥦🧄 wow that's intense! i think we will probably wait that long too, better safe than sorry

My 3 year old has never had it and constantly announces to us that he can eat popcorn when he’s 5 lol. He’s very excited 😆

My 5 year old hasn’t had popcorn, it’s not something I’ll give anytime soon

Was planning on waiting for a bit longer but my one year old has quick hands lol. She grabbed some out of my bowl and ate it before I could stop her. 😅

@GMF omg i've told my daughter she can have some when she's 5 and she says similar things😅 she keeps telling me she's going to have her own bag of popcorn when she's big like her cousin🤣

I gave my one year old a couple if I have them he has a few in a little bowl but I make sure to look at all them first incase there’s kernels in them he’s been okay so far but I bought baby popcorn in the baby isle for him to have for a snack he only has normal if I have it and that’s rarely and I’m sat near him at all times

We are waiting until 5. Unfortunately, my daughter brings home popcorn 🍿 from school a lot and it bothers me. The kids at her school range in age from almost 3 to 5.

3.5 years old, but it was only the one time, and now I've read more I to it and how much of a choking hazard it is I won't give her it again until she's older. The bit that I had in the cupboard I binned

3 years old atm. I’m not allowing popcorn until after 5

my son (3 and a half) has had popcorn several times. i am aware it’s a choking hazard, i work in childcare and learn all this, but he loves the stuff (again, was younger with quick hands when he first had a taste..🤣) but he’s so good at chewing his food and eating, he always has a popcorn bucket at the cinema, and i always supervise him carefully, he’s never out of sight when he eats something that’s a potential choking hazard, but again he’s a good chewer and if i feel he is eating his food too quickly, i will tell him to slow down and do smaller handfuls and he listens. I feel confident as well because i am pediatric first aid trained. i think its at your discretion tbh. x

i was mortified the other day bcos my son LOVES grapes, and i always always cut them up and put them in a bowl. i told him he couldn’t have any more grapes as he just had a bowl and he eats them super quickly and we run out constantly bcos he demolishes them. i went to the toilet, came back and the punnet was on the sofa EMPTY with my 3 year old saying “grapes are all gone now” and the biggest smile on his face 😭 these were obvs uncut grapes, and i was just so so relieved that he didn’t choke whilst i was in the toilet but man these kids will find a way to get what they want (the grapes were top shelf in the fridge 😭idk how he got them 🤣)

My 2yo has popcorn every day. I'm always near while she's eating it.

@Sinead literally how do they always manage to find the most unsafe things😅

I used to break the fluffy pieces off of the kernels for my 3 year old

Luckily my son doesn't like it at the moment, he tried it while back, he's two years almost four months

I let mine have some before I knew

My daughter is almost 3 and won't be having it under 5

My son is almost 3 and we still don't. Probably won't til he's like 6

thanks for all your replies! cemented my decision to not let her have it until she's 5 or older

They do kids (I assume safe) popcorn I think it's kiddilicious but it comes in different flavours Edit: nope it's Organix "puffcorn" not sure if you could fob her off on that instead lol https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChsSEwithe3g5OiMAxXpk1AGHUmPAJ4YACICCAEQLRoCZGc&co=1&ase=2&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2ZfABhDBARIsAHFTxGzG7Hy2E2bkTgn5XW3qdrU2IHBvl7-I7N_9SVVquIQszlh6nNAr9kwaAtvjEALw_wcB&ei=fQwGaJDFLbCphbIPuPzbqAk&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESwwHg9oNUhrW4XnW531aDbPs6oKAq8ezdYSfYgx9qLXcBslVDzpGX4h16GmNHoDozg67f0Oli9nQf6etQ9FnAhULXue3ICmfq3xMW-CpvPdji_1GQR3c4PWmtrgYlTpzyRuPeIUS__axKREi_BA2g7Z-sllJCNPmxZKcYYpz7bTf-lWoCDqOZLq1CfiuD9FRd3tr2IoYTo3A3-iuPcQGPQ0i5YLkw27UTWX65SuTZYVJJhATtGf70WtK_9PS6NbcgpVh5qlc&sig=AOD64_3NY3eviG1kJjf4Y_J7gvsC8YmJWA&ctype=46&q=&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwjQ9-bg5OiMAxWwVEEAHTj-FpUQzzkoAHoECAYQEA&adurl=
