Honestly once you have one if another comes close an age to the first and you're over 30 with pre existing fertility issues then hurray I mean I say have the babies close together get that pregnant part of life out of the way then do more permanent semi permanent birth control I'm getting my tube's tied after my third child this summer I tried not to get pregnant before my first but after him I just went natural I call it my family builder years and now that's coming to an end it's just easier for breastfeeding and all that to jot be on birth control
Just had my 2nd baby, 11 months after my first was born. Both healthy. Both c-sections. I'm also mid-30s. Obviously not recommended but not necessarily going to cause issues either if you are a generally healthy person. Talk to your doctor.
Im very into tracking my cycle but it was very difficult for me to do until 12-18 months this after giving birth
There are increased risks to you and the baby if you try to conceive to soon. I’d recommend researching
@Charlie I’m not planning on trying to conceive before the recommended 12 months
@keisha I’m all for it tbh. As I said, had I not have a section I’d be ttc already 😅😂 but the section holds us back
@Jo had I not had a section, I’d be already ttc number 2. Im all for having babies close together if we are able. But due to the section, we don’t really want to risk it. But I’m struggling with the mini pill
@Tara Thank you for sharing your experience 🤍 makes me worry less if it accidentally does happen. I’m pretty healthy other than Endo. Sadly, I’m not currently under a gynaecologist and my GP just pushes contraception at me (UK based)
I had IVF with my first baby and was then lucky enough to fall pregnant naturally pretty much 12 months after emergency c section. All went fine 😊
@Kelcey Thank you for sharing your experience 🤍 After ttc naturally for 10 years, I’ve got the BBT monitor, the Lotus ovulation tracker and can recognise where I’m at with my cervical mucus and will monitor using all three. I appreciate cycles aren’t regular and can be complicated postpartum but I’m very in tune with my own body and will abstain if I believe that I am fertile
@Kate massive congratulations 🤍 Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad all went well and hope for the same for me
bless you. if it helps, my mum had a section with me, got pregnant when i was 4/5 months old and had an uncomplicated VBAC with my sister!
@V I have ovulation sticks as well as a basal body temperature thermometer. And have discussed using both. As I’ve said, we tried for over 10 years for our child so tracking my cycle comes very easily to us. I am also a late ovulater and have a longer cycle. Thank you for your opinion but it’s very presumptuous based on no information on that particular subject. My partner is far from selfish. He is the kindest man I’ve ever met. We have discussed condoms however I have an issue with latex (both allergy and sensory) and dislike using them. It is MY choice not to use the latex free kind because I don’t want to.
If it helps at all, I used tracking ovulation and abstaining for 5 years successfully using natural cycles with LH tests ,and also used it to conceive. As long as you are consistent with it, it can work well IMO and if you’d be comfortable getting pregnant if you do slip seems like a win win to me - especially to avoid hormonal contraception!!

I can’t do any form of birth control so I’ve been tracking my cycle/ovulation with these cheap little test strips on Amazon and the Premom app where you upload pictures of the tests (which I love) it’s been so accurate so far and has even predicted the day of my period accurately for 3 months straight.
@Kate Thank you for sharing your experience 🤍 I’m really good with it. I tracked my cycle for over 10 years every single day so feel confident that I can do it again. I guess we’re just worried about the health risk of the slim chance that we may fall pregnant again before the recommended time after a section.
absolutely not stupid - if you'd be fine with a pregnancy, then there's no harm in it at all xx
