Gestational diabete / Glucose test

I recently moved to across the country and have no OB for the month, but I went and took a glucose test to a diagnostic lab, I did the 1 hr one, didn’t really eat or drink anything that morning. The results came out with 136g with a cutoff of 140g. I have no doctor to talk to at the moment, but I don’t know what to do. I feel like even if the results were ‘in range’ they were still a bit high for a fasting test. I also have to mention that my diet has been very poor since we moved (about 3 weeks ago), I’ve been eating a lot of sweet, more than usual and I feel like the lack of hydration that morning might have contributed to the glucose levels. I don’t know what to do, I’ve been eating as if I had Gestational diabetes since the results, but I don’t know if it’s actually the case to

My OB said not to fast for the glucose test (at least the one they do in their office), to eat a high protein meal the morning of and the night before, as well as to stay hydrated. I’d try those three things and test again. ❤️

I was 130 for my test (didn't change my diet or do anything special at all for the 1 hour test). my doc said it was borderline and I could leave it there if I wanted. still just opted to do the 3 hour test to be safe, since it's much clearer as far as results. I'm glad I did, even if it was a boring few hours to wait!

I would go ahead with the 3hr if you’re able, to get a peace of mind (any unnecessary stress you can eliminate in the 3rd trimester, you should try!). My first pregnancy I was around 138 I think? And they had me test again with the fasting, and my numbers were totally fine!

I was around the same range with my first and they had me do the 3 hour. I agree with Brittany, I would do the 3 hour to make sure.
