Thank you so much! I'm obviously sorry it happened to you too but it's good to know I'm not the only one! Someone suggested biting them before Mia... Knowing my luck I'd probably bite the tip of his finger off!!

Yeah I joke my first went from having 6 fingers to nearly 4 after his dad cut his finger pretty badly with some nail cutters. He needed a steri strip, we filed nails from then onwards. Happy to report he’s 3 this week and thriving with 5 fingers still 🤣 It doesn’t make the guilt any better in the moment but it happens more often than you think. You aren’t a bad mama and your LO still loves you

Bite them or i use the tommee tippee nail scissors from home bargains. Less likely to cut a finger with them xx

Oh I did this sooo many times with my first I ended up getting an electric file and even now she loves it and we pretend we’re at the nail salon 😅. Honestly I quite often felt like an awful mum everytime she bumped her head etc now she shrugs and goes uh oh 😂

We did this the first time we cut his nails and haven't dared cut them again since 🫠 I just pick at them when he's nursing but might invest in an electric nail file soon

I brought an electric nail file with different bits for different ages it’s a life saver! X

I bought an electric nail file thing off Amazon and it’s a game changer xx

I haven't done this but I've knocked her head when lifting her out of her bed twice in one week 🫣

@Robyn I knocked a toy off that was dangling from my eldest son's play mat when he was a baby and it landed on his face - it was the only hard one on there (the one with the music and spinner!)

Their nails are so thin it doesn’t take much and if it hits their skin it’s more of a little tickle 😅
